My Review
I bought the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge based on a recommendation from a friend and it has made my hectic life much easier. The powerful 12 amp SteamVac has helped make my home spotless. The best aspect for me is that there is Clean Surge feature which blasts extra cleaning solution into difficult stains (for me these are the orange juice stains by the couch). The dirty solution picked up from your floors is in an easy to pour away container which means there is no risk of spilling the dirty water and undoing all the good work you’ve just done.
There is even a long 8 foot hose which means you can clean your stairs. This hasn’t been an option for me with rented steam cleaners in the past (to my annoyance) so I am very happy to have this function now (you should have seen the color of the water when I steam cleaned my stairs for the first time). The scrub brushes mean that you can also steam clean your furniture, which is perfect for any little accidents which are unpreventable with children and/or pets.
The Hoover SteamVac can be used on any floors including hardwood (you just need to remember to take the spin brushes off for hardwood to ensure you don’t scuff the floor). Another great feature is the extent to which it dry’s your carpet after cleaning, this is especially great in you have a busy household and you want to get the carpets cleaned and dried before the kids come home from school. A wide eleven inch cleaning path also means that you can clean your home faster as it cover a wider area.
Keeping a clean home with a family can feel like a constant battle, however now I have a Hoover SteamVac I feel like I am winning. Now I don’t stress when a drink gets spilled or the dog has an accident on the carpet, as I know that it will be as good as new within minutes thanks to the Hoover SteamVac.
